NICU Quilts

Members of the Piecemakers Quilt Club make baby quilts which are donated to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Baptist Heath System (formerly Regional Medical Center) in Madisonville, Ky. As of November 2012, the club has donated over 1014 quilts to the NICU.  These quilts are used to cover isoletes, shielding the babies from bright clinical lighting as well as giving families a more homey atmosphere. Quilts are taken home with the babies and become a familiar constant in their new world.
